DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning in Douglas County Thursday afternoon.
According to the Weather Service, the warning has been issued for southern Douglas County in the Greenland area after trained spotters and citizens have reported multiple funnels in that region.
One funnel cloud was spotted nearly touching the ground east of Larkspur, which is 23 miles north of Colorado Springs. Another funnel cloud was reported near Cherry Valley Elementary School.
The storm is reportedly moving east at 10 mph and the watch is in effect until 2 p.m. Thursday.
