Two homes near Toronto catch fire from lightning strikes - @TorontoStarNews

Two homes in Brampton were in flames Wednesday evening after they were struck by lightning during a severe thunderstorm.

Seven fire trucks battled a two-alarm blaze at 61 Spadina Rd. in Brampton, after lightning struck the home around 11:20 p.m. There are no injuries.

Fifteen minutes earlier, the Peel fire department was called to 34 Amsterdam Cres. No injuries have been reported. The extent of the damage is not clear, but the fire department said the fire was under control by 11:45 p.m.
