NATO helicopter crashes in western Afghanistan injuring pair of soldiers - AAP

TWO soldiers have been injured in an International Security Assistance Force helicopter crash in western Afghanistan, the military says.

The NATO-led alliance did not provide details of the incident or the exact location, saying the cause was being investigated.

Two soldiers were also killed in separate attacks in the country, the alliance said.

"An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an improvised explosive device in eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday," it said.

Another soldier was killed in an insurgent attack on Tuesday, the statement said.
