Elderly woman found dead in her Fair Oaks, California home, naked suspect covered in blood detained by police - @FOX40

FAIR OAKS—

A woman in her 80’s was found dead inside her Fair Oaks home along Olympic Way Sunday night.

Sheriff’s detained a man in his 20’s in connection to the incident. Deputies are treating it as a homicide investigation.

Apparently, the suspect ran from her house naked and covered in blood. The woman was found fully clothed. Deputies are not saying at this time how she died or if any weapons were used.

Sheriff’s originally responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. with a call about a break-in at a home on Durland Way. Before deputies could arrive, the caller got the suspect out of his home. The suspect was not wearing a shirt as he ran over to Olympic Way – into the home of the elderly woman.

Deputies responded to the scene and surrounded the house. When the suspect finally exited the home, he ran down the street completely naked and covered in blood.

Officers chased him down and were able to take him into custody.

No motive is known, and the victim’s name has not been released at this time.
