Tornado causes significant structural damage, possible injuries in Woodward, Okla. - @KOCO

A brief tornado caused some damage north of Woodward, an emergency manager confirmed to KOCO Eyewitness News 5.Matt Lehenbauer said that a metal building was damaged and a camper overturned about 11 miles to the north of Woodward.The cell that moved through Woodward County was one of several that developed across northwest Oklahoma on Saturday. Several tornado warnings were issued throughout the afternoon. However, no significant damage was reported.***A tornado watch has been issued for several counties across Oklahoma.The National Wearther Service issued the watch for Alfalfa, Beckham, Blaine, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Grant, Greer, Harmon, Harper, Jackson, Kiowa, Major, Roger Mills, Washita, Woods and Woodward until 6 p.m.There is a high risk of severe thunderstorms through Saturday night into early Sunday across much of northern and central Oklahoma. A lesser exists across the remainer of Oklahoma and adjacent parts of north Texas.According to the National Weather Service, the high risk area covers locations near near and east of a line extending from Woodward to Weatherford and areas near and north of Interstate 40. This covers the cities of Woodward, Enid, Ponca City, Weatherford, Clinton, all of the Oklahoma City metro, Stillwater and Shawnee.A moderate risk covers much of the rest of Oklahoma. A slight risk includes far southeast Oklahoma and western north Texas.The most likely time for severe storms will be from noon through the overnight hours.
