NORTH BEND, Wash. - A fire that killed two women Sunday morning is being investigated as a double homicide, the King County Sheriff’s Office says.

The fire was reported at about 8:30 a.m.

Once firefighters arrived, their first obstacle was the front door.

Furniture blocked it, so they forced their way in and started dousing the flames.

Two women were found dead inside.

Partially full gas cans were found inside and deputies deployed bomb detection equipment to see if the house held any booby traps.

Investigators are searching for a couple key things. A family car is missing from the house, and friends say that a third person - an adult man - also lived in this home. And since the fire, his whereabouts have remained a mystery.

Investigators are not calling him a suspect or person of interest and it's unclear if he has the missing car.

Investigators began a search for a vehicle belonging to a person who lives in house. It is a 2003, blue-gray Toyota Corolla, license number 911YWK
