Out of character for Fort Bragg soldier Kelli Bordeaux to go missing, sister says - @FoxNews

The sister of a missing Fort Bragg soldier said it was out of character for the woman to fail to show up for duty, while police say she may be in danger.

Pfc. Kelli Bordeaux, a 23-year-old combat medic with the 44th Medical Brigade, was last seen early Saturday leaving a popular bar in Fayetteville.

"Kelli is a good soldier," her sister, Olivia Cox, told WRAL-TV. "Kelli is not a soldier who would go AWOL."

Fort Bragg officials reported Bordeaux missing on Monday, according to a press release from the Fayetteville Police Department.

Authorities said she disappeared after leaving the Froggy Bottoms bar at around 1:20 a.m. Saturday and "may be in danger."

"During the early course of the investigation, there was some information that detectives received that leads us to believe she may be in danger," Fayetteville police spokesman Gavin MacRoberts told the station.

Family members reportedly traveled from Florida on Tuesday to assist in the search for Bordeaux, who joined the military in April 2011 and arrived at Fort Bragg last November.

Cox declined to comment on whether Bordeaux was with her husband, Mike, at the time of her disappearance, according to WRAL. He was "holding up the best he can," Cox told the station.

Bordeaux, who has blond hair and brown eyes, was last seen wearing a pink tank top and black shorts, police said. She is described as 5 feet tall, weighing about 99 pounds.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is being urged to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
