2 more charged in slaying of Ohio woman found beaten, burned - @CantonRepdotcom

Investigators in Muskingum County have made two more arrests in the slaying of a Canton woman found beaten and burned last month.

Lamonica J. Washington, 24, of 901 Sixth St. SW, was arrested Monday afternoon by Canton police.

A third suspect, LaFonse D. Dixon, 33, was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Both were being held on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated arson and kidnapping.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matthew Lutz announced the arrests during a press conference Tuesday in Zanesville.

Washington was picked up on a misdemeanor charge drug possession that was filed by Canton police, jail records show.

She is the second woman charged in the death of Celeste Fronsman, a 29-year-old Canton woman found beaten and badly burned in Muskingum County.

A passerby found her Aug. 26 and Fronsman died two days later. The coroner has said she suffered burns to 70 to 80 percent of her body.

Katrina M. Culberson, 20, of 424 17th St. SE, was charged last week with aggravated murder, aggravated arson and kidnapping in connection with Fronsman’s death.
