Suspected U.S. drone attack kills 5

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- A suspected U.S. drone strike killed at least 10 militants Friday in northwest Pakistan's tribal area, bordering Afghanistan, officials said.

The drone fired four missiles at a suspected militant compound in the Shawal area of North Waziristan district, according to the two intelligence officials. They asked not to be named because they are not authorized to speak to the media.

There have been 30 suspected U.S. drone strikes this year in Pakistan, according to a CNN count.
