6 soldiers, 2 village guards killed in attack in Turkey's southeast - @HDNER

Six soldiers and two village guards were killed while 15 troops were injured in an attack by suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the eastern province of Hakkari late last night.

The PKK attacked the outpost located in the Geçimli village with long-barrel rifles and rockets.

In addition to the 15 soldiers, a village guard and five civilians were also injured in the attack, according to a statement from the Hakkari Governor's Office.
