There have been reports of an early morning attack on Afghan police checkpoint in southern Afghanistan.
At least four fighters in police uniforms in the hour-long gunbattle in Kandahar city.
The Afghan National Police force is said to have suffered three casualties in the attack.
The attack comes a day after three gunmen wearing Afghan police uniforms killed a NATO service member.
