The man wanted in connection with a deadly armoured car heist at the University of Alberta has been arrested at a U.S. border crossing adjoining British Columbia, police say.
Travis Baumgartner, 21, was stopped at the border crossing in Lynden, Wash., near the U.S.-Canada border southwest of Abbotsford, B.C., Edmonton police Sgt. Dave Reitzel said Saturday.
Baumgartner was alone in his pickup truck , Reitzel said.
Police have been searching for Baumgartner following an armoured-car robbery at the University of Alberta on Friday that left three guards dead and another seriously wounded.
Baumgartner has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
