The Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue was responding to a possible haz mat situation at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Friday.

Authorities said four patients were being treated for respiratory complaints from an unknown substance.

Part of Terminal 2 at 100 Terminal Drive was evacuated so that haz mat technicians could investigate the situation.

Airport spokesman Greg Meyer said the incident stemmed from a undtermined chemical odor in the terminal.
