Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan says the prostitution scandal in Colombia last month did not result in a breach of national security.
Sullivan is telling a Senate committee in prepared testimony that his investigation revealed that the dozen agents implicated in the event had not received any specific protective information about President Barack Obama at the time of the misconduct.
He says they were to receive their briefing hours after the night of partying and cavorting with prostitutes and did not have sensitive security documents, firearms, radios or other equipment in their hotel rooms on the night in question.
Sullivan is breaking his public silence Wednesday when he appears before the Senate Homeland Security Committee.
