San Diego stabbing leaves 1 victim dead at scene

A man was fatally stabbed and killed in City Heights Friday night.

A stabbing in City Heights Friday night left one victim dead at the scene.

Police said the fatal stabbing happened at the 4000 block of 49th Street around 9:45 p.m.

When authorities arrived, they found one fatally injured victim at the scene, but no suspect.

Medics arrived to assist the victim, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

At this time, police said they have no descriptions of the suspect involved in the stabbing.

No information has been released yet as to whether or not this crime is gang-related.
