Police update: 4 dead, including girls ages 2 and 4, in Blue Springs, Mo., in apparent murder-suicide - KSHB

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - Four people - including two young girls - were found dead in Blue Springs, Mo., on Friday in an apparent murder-suicide.

A female relative stopped by the duplex because the woman inside hadn't returned her phone calls. Soon after she arrived, she called the police.

Dillon Sparks lives across the street from the duplex.  He said he saw a woman and a man running from the home screaming for help shortly after noon on Friday.

"The way she was screaming for help, I knew it was bad. I knew something bad had happened," Sparks said.

The 23-year-old man, 22-year-old woman and two girls, ages 4 and 2, were found in the 1200 block of N.W. Cheshire Place.

According to police, one of the two adults was responsible for the deaths of the two little girls, the other adult and themselves. The have not released the relationship among the victims.

Police secured a search warrant Friday afternoon to search the duplex. 

Officers found a gun in the duplex, but they said not all the victims died in the same way.
