NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio - Tuscarawas County Sheriff Walt Wilson said that two bodies were found in a New Philadelphia home about 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Wilson said it appears to be a husband-wife murder-suicide.

The bodies were found on Ashwood Drive SE after a family member called after discovering the vbodies.

Tuscarawas County Coroner's Office will conduct an autopsy on Daniel Fawcett and his wife Rena.

In a preliminary assessment, the wife appears to have died from a severe head injury and the husband hanged himself.

The couple's two dogs were also found dead inside the home.
