Man in Quebec is arrested after several bodies found at a home - @cbcnews

Gatineau police have a man in custody and are interviewing him after they said they found a number of people dead at a home in the Gatineau, Que., suburb of Aylmer. 64 felix leclerc, gatineau

Police were called to the scene at 1:15 p.m. ET to 64 Félix-Leclerc Street, a home near the Rivermead Golf Club.

Police removed what appeared to be a body from the home but would not provide a description, or provide the number of dead, saying they are still attempting to contact family members.

The arrest was made following the discovery of the bodies. Police would not release the age or identity of the man arrested.

2nd crime scene at golf course

Police have also cordoned off a second crime scene at an abandoned van on the Rivermead Golf Club course, less than a kilometre from the home, which is is registered to Claude Levesque and Louise LeBoeuf.

Neighbours said the older couple operated a bed and breakfast at the home and shared the dwelling with their daughter, her boyfriend and a young child.

According to two neighbours, the home was recently converted to a halfway house.

Police have set up a command post and are expected to speak about the investigation this evening.
