The accident took place at about 10:00 p.m. (local time) when a Daewoo bus heading towards Karachi, a port city in southern Pakistan, overturned near the Zafarabad area of Rahim Yar Khan, a city in southern part of Punjab province.

Rescue team rushed to the site shortly after the accident was reported.

All the bodies and injured people recovered from the badly damaged bus have been shifted to the City Hospital and Sheikh Zaid Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan, said the report, adding that there are still some people trapped inside the bus.
